Christmas Update

In March when we entered the first national lockdown we had no idea of how the rest of the year would turn out. For some it has been one of hardship and loss, of not being able to hug our friends or see our families, for others it has been a way to help their neighbours and community through acts of kindness both big and small.

We at KATS have been hit by the closing of indoor performance venues and the restrictions on safe audience seating. This meant we took the decision to cancel both the Summer 2020 and February 2021 shows. We do not know if we will be able to meet to rehearse and perform in summer 2021, but the Committee will review the government guidance as it becomes known and will make plans accordingly.

We postponed the KATS 2020 AGM due to take place in April and we are still unable to say when we can safely meet to hold another one. We will advise you as soon as we can of the new date but the current committee will stay in post and will continue to manage the Society until we can hold the proper elections at the AGM, whenever that should happen.

If you have not done so already, please like our Facebook page and/or follow us on Twitter to keep up with news about the Society. In the meantime, please keep yourself safe and follow the health advice being given by the appropriate authorities. But, where possible, please look out for your friends, relatives and neighbours who might be vulnerable and in need of some help.

I wish you all a good Christmas and that 2021 will be a better year for everyone!
